Mike Shield - General Manager, Operations

Mike joined Icon in July 2022 and brings 40 years of experience and knowledge in transport and 3PL warehousing to the role of GM, Operations with a focus on co-ordinating the curtainsider and container transport fleets with the warehousing operations to provide a one stop shop to meet all customers’ supply chain requirements.

Before taking on the role at Icon, Mike was NZ Manager with Australian based DGL Group, responsible for their 3PL operations in Auckland and Wellington, having moved back to NZ from Sydney in 2021, where he was a site manager and later the NSW State manager for DGL. Prior to his 10 years in Sydney and Auckland, Mike was with Port Otago as Operations Manager in their dairy warehouses.
